HCC Life Insurance Company would like to make it easier for consumers to apply for its short-term health insurance coverage.
A subsidiary of Houston-based HCC Insurance Holdings, HCC Life has broadened its relationship with eHealth, Inc. so that eHealth consumers in 41 states can apply for HCC Life short-term health insurance products on the eHealth Website.
With eHealth's eApproval system, shoppers looking for insurance online can electronically sign and submit their applications and receive an immediate response, according to the corporations.
The executive vice president of HCC Life Insurance, Mark Carney, said that "eHealth's eApproval technology makes the application and approval process for short-term coverage a seamless, paperless, online process that's completed in a single online session for many of our customers."
EHealth, based in Mountain View, California, runs a mobile Website that had sold HCC Medical Insurance Services travel insurance policies for several months. Now HCC Life's short-term medical insurance policy will be available for purchase on its primary retail Website and its mobile sites.
